Franklin Civil War Round Table
October 9, 2016
3 pm
The Franklin Civil War Round Table will present Eric Jacobson, who will speak on “General Wagner at Franklin." The event is free to the public. The Franklin Civil War Round Table is an educational program of Franklin’s Charge, and meets each month at Carnton Plantation's Fleming Center, 1345 Eastern Flank Circle.

Battle of Franklin Symposium
October 21 – 22, 2016
Through lectures, panel discussions, and tours of the battlefield and historic homes, the symposium will offer an in-depth look at the Western Theater of the Civil War in 1864. Attendees will learn about the events leading up to the Battle of Franklin, the battle’s tactics, civilian perspectives, and post battle logistics. This event will allow guests to learn about this pivotal moment in American history in a unique way. Click here for more information or to register for this event!

Blue & Gray Days
November 4-5, 2016
Blue & Gray Days draws hundreds of school children and adult spectators every year.  Hosted by both The Carter House and Carnton Plantation, guests will meet Civil War re-enactors and get hands-on experience with clothes, trades, and weapons of the past.  This living history experience is the perfect field trip and great for families.  For additional details or to make field trip reservations, please contact Sarah Falck at (615) 794-0903 or sarah@boft.org.

Franklin Civil War Round Table

The Franklin Civil War Round Table will present Col. Tom McKenney, who will speak on “Jack Hinson’s One Man War." The event is free to the public. The Franklin Civil War Round Table is an educational program of Franklin’s Charge, and meets each month at Carnton Plantation's Fleming Center, 1345 Eastern Flank Circle.

152nd Anniversary of the Battle of Franklin – Illumination
November 30, 2016
To commemorate the anniversary of the Battle of Franklin, 10,000 luminaries, representing the casualties of the battle, will be lit at dusk. This event is free to the public.
