Membership with The Battle of Franklin Trust

What is membership in The Battle of Franklin Trust?

Membership with The Battle of Franklin Trust is a partnership to help fulfill the Trust’s mission to preserve, understand, and interpret the American Civil War.  Annual memberships help with the day-to-day operation including ongoing research, magazine production, interpretive staff, museum collection oversight, and visitor programming. In addition, The Battle of Franklin Trust directs a portion of every annual membership to the Spring Hill Endowment & Battle of Franklin Endowment to plan and prepare for future needs.

Annual Members have a few privileges at Carter House, Carnton, and Rippa Villa.  These privileges are in effect for a one-year period from the date of membership.  We hope every member, regardless of level, chooses to share these sites with neighbors, friends, and family throughout their membership year.

What are the endowments?

The Battle of Franklin Endowment is a fund established to protect and preserve the historic structures, support battlefield reclamation efforts, plan for the future, and secure Franklin’s place in history.

The Endowment is designed to be at the heart of philanthropic support for The Battle of Franklin Trust. Fifteen percent of all memberships will be allocated directly to the Endowments.

Unless otherwise indicated, estate and memorial gifts to the Trust will be directed towards the Endowments to provide support for preservation in perpetuity.
